Three achievements of the United Front Work of Southeast University won the commendation of the United Front Department of Jiangsu provincial Party committee
Recently, the United Front ministers' meeting of Jiangsu Province was held in Nanjing. The meeting conveyed the speech spirit of Lou Qinjian, Secretary of the provincial Party committee, at the plenary meeting of the leading group of the United Front Work of the provincial Party committee. Yang Yue, member of the Standing Committee of the provincial Party committee and head of the United Front Department of the provincial Party committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Zheng Jiamao, deputy secretary of the Party committee of Southeast University, attended the meeting.
At the meeting, three achievements of the province's united front work practice innovation, United Front Theory and policy research innovation, advanced unit of United Front information work and Southeast University were awarded.
Among them, "culture education, love education and practice training to build the identity education mode of students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan with Eastern characteristics" won the provincial United Front Work Practice Innovation Achievement Award, "the role of democratic parties in the ideological field construction" won the provincial United Front Theory and policy research innovation achievement first prize, "under the new situation, the University Party committee strengthens the work of non Party Intellectuals Research Report The report was awarded the third prize of the research and innovation achievement of the United Front Theory and policy of the whole province.
It is reported that in 2019, the whole province selected 24 practical and innovative achievements of United Front Work (5 in Colleges and universities), 6 first prizes (2 in Colleges and universities), 16 second prizes (7 in Colleges and universities), and 26 third prizes (11 in Colleges and universities).
In addition, in 2019, the Education Working Committee of Jiangsu provincial Party committee commended the United Front Work of colleges and universities across the province, Southeast University won one prize for practical innovation achievements of the United Front Work of colleges and universities across the province, and one first prize for theoretical innovation research achievements.

Professor Gu Zhongze of Southeast University was elected member of the American Academy of medicine and Bioengineering
Recently, according to the official website of the American Academy of medicine and Bioengineering, Professor Gu Zhongze, Dean of the school of Bioscience and medical engineering of Southeast University, was elected to the American Academy of medicine and bioengineering for his outstanding achievements in the field of medicine and bioengineering.
Professor Gu Zhongze graduated from the Department of biomedical engineering of Southeast University in 1989. Now he is the dean and doctoral supervisor of the school of biological science and medical engineering. He has been engaged in the research of human organ chips and photonic crystal materials, and has published more than 270 papers in international core journals, cited more than 10000 times, and obtained dozens of patent authorizations. In 2003, he was selected into the Yangtze River scholars award program of the Ministry of education, and successively presided over many scientific research projects, such as key scientific issues of transformative technology in the national key R & D program, 863 high technology research and development program, national fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, etc.
The American Academy of medicine and Bioengineering, which is affiliated to the American Academy of Sciences, is a famous non-profit academic organization in the field of international medicine and bioengineering. The follow of the American Academy of medicine and bioengineering is composed of the most outstanding scholars in the field of medicine and Bioengineering (top 2%) in the world. It is nominated and strictly selected by international peers every year. It is the highest academic honor in the field of medicine and bioengineering technology in the United States. Now there are about 2000 fellows.
This year, the American Academy of medicine and bioengineering has 156 new Fellows, including 11 elected scholars from Chinese universities and scientific research institutions.

Chen xuman, a young teacher of Southeast University, published the latest research results in the top international journal German Applied Chemistry
Recently, Dr. Chen xuman, a young teacher of the school of chemistry and chemical engineering of Southeast University, published an academic paper entitled "efficient near infrared emissive artistic supramolecular light harvesting system for imaging in Golgi apparatuses" in the top international journal angelwandte Chemie.
As a process of capturing, transforming and utilizing natural light, light capture is the first and very important process in plant photosynthesis. The construction of artificial light capture system is of great significance for the utilization of light energy, but there are still great challenges in the construction of artificial light capture system with high efficiency.
Using the strategy of "calixarenes induced aggregation", the research team of southeast university designed and synthesized amphiphilic sulfonated calixarenes and cationic naphthylpyridine derivatives as fluorescent donors for self-assembly in aqueous solution, and introduced Nile blue as fluorescent receptor molecule, successfully constructed a near-infrared emitting supramolecular artificial light capture system. Through further research, the team found that the system still maintained high light capture efficiency and high stability in cells, and proved its selectivity for Golgi staining. This research has an important role in the research of sensing, imaging and diagnosis of artificial supramolecular light capture system.
The first author of this paper is Chen xuman, a young teacher from the school of chemistry and chemical engineering, Southeast University, which is the first communication unit.
