What is silicone oil
Silicone oil is a kind of polysiloxane liquid oil with various viscosities, non-toxic, odorless, non corrosive, and non combustible. Among them, methyl silicone oil is the most important variety of silicone oil. By changing the polymerization degree of polysiloxane and the type of organic base, or by copolymerizing polysiloxane with other organic substances, silicone oil with basic characteristics such as waterproof, anti sticking, demoulding and defoaming can be prepared.
Characteristics of silicone oil
Silicone oil has many special properties, such as small temperature viscosity coefficient, high and low temperature resistance, low oxidation volatility, good insulation, no corrosion to metal, etc. Because of these characteristics, silicone oil has been applied in many aspects and has excellent effects. Among various silicone oils, methyl silicone oil is the most widely used and the most important variety, followed by methyl phenyl silicone oil.
