1. Classification of silicone oil
Silicone oil is a type of liquid polysiloxane oil with various viscosities, non-toxic, odorless, non corrosive, and non flammable. Among them, methyl silicone oil is the most important type of silicone oil. By changing the degree of polymerization of polysiloxane and the type of organic group, or by copolymerizing polysiloxane with other organic compounds, silicone oil with basic characteristics such as waterproofing, anti adhesion, demolding, defoaming, etc. can be prepared. There are many varieties of silicone oil, which can be roughly divided into two categories: linear silicone oil and modified silicone oil.
