Southeast University and Nanjing Pukou Economic Development Zone sign cooperation agreement on Technology Transfer Center
On the morning of March 24, Southeast University and Nanjing Pukou Economic Development Zone held a ceremony and jointly signed the cooperation agreement of Southeast University (Nanjing) technology transfer center. Ding Hui, vice president of Southeast University, Cao Hailian, mayor of Pukou District, Nanjing, and Liu dangwei, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Pukou Economic Development Zone attended the signing ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Tong Jinzhou, director of the Management Committee of Pukou Economic Development Zone.
This contract is an innovative achievement for both the school and the local government to thoroughly implement the "two landing and one integration" project and promote the settlement of projects in the industry commonness and frontier key technology fields. Southeast University (Nanjing) technology transfer center signed the first batch of seven high-quality projects, involving graphene based technology and environmental protection industry applications, nanopore gene sequencing and 5g combination, intelligent logistics and supply chain stowage information and other industrial directions. The center will give full play to the comprehensive advantages of electronic information, Nano Engineering and other disciplines of Southeast University in technology, talents and other aspects, establish channels for special talents exchange and cooperation, focus on the development of high-tech industries, jointly build a platform for technology research and development and innovation, constantly improve the independent innovation ability of enterprises in the park, and promote the adjustment of local economic structure in Pukou District Integration and development.

Professor Chen Shihua of Southeast University published the latest research results in Physical Review Letters
Recently, the top physical journal Physical Review Letters 124, 113901 (2020)) published a new research paper entitled "fundamental Peregrine solutions of ultrastrong amplitude enhancement through self stepping in vector nonlinear systems" by Professor Chen Shihua of School of physics, Southeast University.
From the "macro" point of view, we can think of the real world as a turbulent field, in which various interactions are intertwined, and then some unpredictable or unpredictable extreme events occur, such as heart attack, earthquake, stock market crash, multi-point outbreak of epidemic disease, etc. The most typical example is the mad dog wave event in the deep sea, which is like a monster in the deep sea, and threatens the safety of the surrounding past oil tankers and drilling platforms from time to time. Because of the potential damage and unpredictability of such extreme events, more and more researchers (including military researchers) have paid close attention to the study of rogue waves. For example, as early as 2000, the European Union launched the three-year "maxwave project" and the recently implemented "Horizon 2020" 2020) plan also provides key funding in this area. For more than ten years, scientists have observed abnormal waves in the fields of hydrodynamics, nonlinear optics, plasma physics, acoustics, atmospheric dynamics and so on.
In this paper, the author continues the work published in 2018 [see PRL 121, 104101 (2018)] and studies the anomalous characteristics and the basic generation mechanism of the anomalous waves prototype, peregrine soliton. The author points out that the peak to background ratio of anomalous Peregrine solitons can achieve super strong increase under the specific conditions of self steep medium and parameters, as shown in the figure below.
That is to say, even in a very weak noise background, it is possible to generate a large amplitude of basic Peregrine abnormal wave. The theoretical results enhance the universality and importance of Peregrine solitons as rogue waves prototype. In addition, a feasible experimental assumption is proposed. It is expected that this anomalous Peregrine soliton phenomenon can be observed experimentally in the near future.
Southeast University is the first unit of the paper, Professor Chen Shihua is the first author and corresponding author of the paper, doctoral student pan Changchang is the second author, the collaborators include Professor Philippe grelu of Bourgogne Franche COMT é University in France, Professor Fabio baronio of Brescia University in Italy, and Professor nail akhmediev of Australia National University, the latter two of which are co correspondents of the paper.
