These two days, a group photo of "Eight Immortals of severe illness" in Wuhan was swiped on the screen. After people's daily Weibo paid attention to them, people's daily wechat paid attention to them again.
These eight experts are members of the expert group who have been well supported from all over the country. They sit in seven designated hospitals for critical care, and work with the medical teams to fight for the final critical fort in Wuhan, known as the "top team" in the field of critical care in China. One of them is Zheng Ruiqiang, an expert in the Department of critical medicine of Subei people's hospital. He is also one of the first four experts sent by the national health and Health Commission to support the local hospital in Wuhan.
"The vitality of the whole city is back"
"At zero o'clock on the 8th, I went to the Yangtze River Bridge in Wuhan with the members of the expert group after work. When we saw the lights on, we were moved and Wuhan was reborn!" Although Zheng's voice was hoarse, it was full of joy.
On January 23, the 29th anniversary of the lunar new year, Wuhan was closed. Zheng Ruiqiang received a call from the national health and Health Commission asking him to arrive in Wuhan that day. At that time, he took the train to Wuhan, and Wuhan station was no longer able to get on and off, so he had to get off at Hanchuan near Wuhan. The local Wei Jian assigned a car to take him to the junction of Hanchuan and Wuhan, and then transferred to the car assigned by Wuhan Wei Jian and rushed to the headquarters. "I could have arrived in Wuhan in three and a half hours, but I walked for nearly eight hours."
Zheng Ruiqiang said that when he first arrived in Wuhan, there were no people or cars on the street. It was quiet and not like a metropolis at all. "Now, with the popularity on the street, the vitality of the whole city is back."
"We survived with Wuhan"
As for the title of "Eight Immortals of severe illness", he said lightly, "I never thought we were heroes, but did what an ICU person should do, which is our responsibility and obligation. It's like a battlefield. You are a fighter. When you go to the battlefield, you have to go to the battlefield. This is what our major should do. "
Zheng Ruiqiang said that the National Defense Health Commission has assigned 8 experts to stay in 7 hospitals. He is still stationed in the Wuhan Pulmonary Hospital, and is responsible for all the patients' treatment.
Zheng Ruiqiang is serious in the isolation ward, and he often laughs and talks with everyone in the office. This is Zheng Ruiqiang's little trick to relieve the pressure of his colleagues. "Our work in ICU is to rob people with death. Such a depressed working environment requires some laughter to relieve the tension of young medical staff," he said
For the first-line medical staff, ECMO, tracheoscopy, endotracheal intubation are all high-risk operations. "From the perspective of protecting young doctors, I'm on my own." A few days ago, another 68 year old man withdrew ECMO, Zheng said. "Currently there are only nine patients, three with ECMO."
"When I think back to 76 days and nights in Wuhan, there was only one idea, that is, to treat as many patients as possible. We fought together with you. With your joint efforts, the happiest thing is to see the rebirth of Wuhan. " "We have survived together with Wuhan, and all the efforts are worth it," Zheng said
