Product characteristics
Lexomer U468 is a non-ionic, low solvent and hydrophobically modified polyurethane thickener, which can effectively improve the medium and high shear viscosity, and has a high thickening rate, endow the interior and exterior wall coatings with excellent flow and leveling, gloss display, and improve the film-forming property. At the same time, it has better thickening effect for fine particle acrylic emulsion and provides excellent leveling and film fullness.
Application characteristics
Lexomer U468 can be applied to a wide range of coating formulations, and can be used to prepare interior and exterior wall coatings from matte to high gloss. It has excellent performance in styrene, acrylic acid and vinyl acetate systems, especially for fine-grained acrylic emulsion with better thickening effect and excellent leveling and film fullness.
? lexomer u468 has excellent formula compatibility with cellulosic thickeners and alkali swelling thickeners. It can be freely selected and matched with cellulosic thickeners and alkali swelling thickeners according to the required performance.
? lexomer u468 is not recommended to be used alone as a thickener, but as a synergistic thickener to achieve excellent fluidity, with the following advantages:
1. It can effectively improve medium and high shear viscosity, excellent brush retardation, film fullness, splash resistance and water separation resistance;
2. Low dosage, high thickening ratio, excellent water resistance, high gloss;
3. It has low foaming property, good film-forming property, low volatility of solvent dipropylene glycol monobutyl ether and no influence on luster;
4. It can be used in low odor and low VOC coatings;
5. Anti microbial and mildew resistant.
