There are three major schools in the construction industry: Tsinghua University, Dongda University and Tongji University. Dongda's architecture, Tongji's urban planning. Tsinghua's architecture and regulations are excellent. Many of the leading figures in Tsinghua and Tongji come from Dongda. Dongda College of architecture is the affiliated unit of the directors of the professional Steering Committee of architecture discipline of national institutions of higher learning.
In Jiangsu Province, the score line of the college entrance examination for architecture major of Dongda is basically in line with or slightly higher than that of Tsinghua University. Normally, the top 300 students in Jiangsu Province will have a chance.
Southeast University, founded in 1927, is one of the earliest universities in China to carry out architectural education.
Today, there are five recognized architectural masters: LV Yanzhi (1894-1929), Liu Dunzhen (1897-1968), Tong Gaj ù n (1900-1983), Liang Sicheng (1901-1972), Yang Tingbao (1901-1982). They are the designers of Chinese classical architectural works in the 20th century,
Three of the five masters are related to the central courtyard. They have taught and presided over the work here for a long time. Half of the architecture of the Republic of China in Nanjing was designed by them. They are the forerunners respected and remembered by later scholars.
In the past more than 90 years, the College of architecture has trained more than 3000 senior architectural talents for the country, including 8 academicians and 10 national engineering survey and design masters.
In 2018, when the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge was repaired and opened to traffic, someone turned over the hand-painted design drawing of the bridgehead, which was exquisite and caused quite a stir in Nanjing. At that time, Zhong Zhengzheng, a teaching assistant of Nangong Department of architecture, was just in his early thirties. He drew two manuscripts for application (above), which were approved by Premier Zhou Enlai and adopted the current plan. Now, as early as he was academician, he is an old man in his nineties, with a few decades of finger flicking.
