(1) Excellent thermal stability
Phenyl silicone oil has excellent thermal stability and can maintain stable performance in high temperature environments. For example, the working temperature range of methyl phenyl silicone oil IOTA-255 is between -70 ℃ and 320 ℃, and it can even maintain elasticity under low temperature conditions of -120 ℃. The physical properties of silicone oil with medium and high phenyl content remain basically unchanged after heating at 250 ℃ for thousands of hours, demonstrating excellent thermal stability. This characteristic makes it an ideal material for high-temperature environments in fields such as aerospace, electronics, and electrical appliances, such as engine insulation products and radiation resistant coatings for nuclear power.

The refractive index of phenyl silicone oil is higher than that of dimethyl silicone oil, usually 1.46, making it an ideal gloss agent.
