The world's first large-scale production line for bio based epoxy silicone oil has been put into operation in the Yangtze River Delta region. This technology uses corn stover saccharification products as raw materials and achieves a 65% reduction in carbon footprint throughout the entire process through enzyme catalyzed ring opening polymerization technology. Compared with traditional petroleum based routes, the new process reduces wastewater discharge by 90%, and the by-products can be recycled as biodiesel raw materials, forming a closed-loop circular economy model.

The company leader introduced that the new bio based epoxy silicone oil maintains high reactivity while the natural ester groups introduced in its molecular chain can endow the material with self-healing properties. In the field of smart wearable devices, this material has been applied to the packaging layer of flexible circuit boards. When encountering mechanical damage, it can achieve crack self-healing through epoxy based ring opening reaction at room temperature, with a repair efficiency of 92%. According to data from a laboratory of a consumer electronics giant, the anti drop performance of smart watch shells equipped with this material has been improved by 40% and meets the environmental standards of the EU REACH regulation.

The capital market has responded enthusiastically to this, and the company's Series A financing has been oversubscribed by multiple green funds, with a valuation that has increased fivefold compared to a year ago. Industry analysts point out that as the global ESG investment scale exceeds $40 trillion, bio based epoxy silicone oil, as a representative of low-carbon materials, will reshape the value chain of the silicone industry. At present, multiple European car manufacturers have signed long-term orders with the company for green supply chain projects such as thermal conductive adhesives for power batteries and sealing membranes for hydrogen fuel cells.

In the future, this technology will be deeply integrated with AI molecular design platforms to optimize the conversion path of biomass raw materials through machine learning algorithms, further reducing production costs. The epoxy silicone oil industry is shifting from "performance competition" to a "performance+sustainability" dual wheel drive model, providing a Chinese solution for the green transformation of the global new materials industry.
