Textile silicone oil: functional upgrade for fabric finishing
Textile silicone oil (amino silicone oil, epoxy silicone oil) endows fabrics with multiple properties through immersion rolling process. After treatment with 0.5% -1% silicone oil, the drape coefficient of polyester cotton blended fabric increased from 0.32 to 0.45, and the antistatic property (half-life) decreased from 120 seconds to 15 seconds. A case study of a denim enterprise shows that silicone oil finishing increases the wear resistance of the fabric by three times, and the color fastness reaches 4-5 levels (the highest level according to national standards). Environmentally friendly silicone oil (APEO free) has accounted for 65% of the market share and meets the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification.
