Introduction to Silicone
Silicone resins are thermosetting polysiloxane polymers with a highly cross-linked structure. The early products were made of organochlorosilanes (such as MeSiCl3, Me2SiCl2, MePhSiCl2, PhSiCl3, Ph2SiCl2) through hydrolytic condensation and rearrangement to make active siloxane prepolymers stable at room temperature. When applied, it can be shrunk and cross-linked into a harder or less elastic solid silicone resin by further heating. Silicone resin has good electrical insulating properties, temperature resistance and waterproof effect. And the weather resistance is better than general organic resins. Therefore, it is an ideal material for the coating of temperature-resistant, heat-resistant and moisture-proof treatment protective surface layers.

The side groups of silicone resin molecules are mainly methyl groups. The introduction of phenyl groups can improve thermal elasticity and adhesion, and improve the compatibility with organic polymers and pigments. The introduction of ethyl, propyl or long-chain alkyl groups can improve the affinity for organic substances. The introduction of vinyl and hydrogen groups can use platinum to catalyze the addition reaction and peroxide-induced cross-linking reaction; the introduction of carbon functional machines can react with more organic compounds and improve the adhesion to the substrate. Connectivity.

Silicone resin has excellent heat resistance and weather resistance, as well as excellent electrical insulation, drug resistance, hydrophobicity and flame retardancy, and can also be modified to obtain other properties.

 ◆ Silicone resin application
  1. Electrical insulating paint: The volume, quality and service life of electrical appliances have a great relationship with the performance of electrical insulating materials. Therefore, the industry requires the use of a variety of electrical insulating paints, including coil impregnating paint, glass cloth impregnating paint, mica adhesive insulating paint, and silicone paint for electrical and electronic protection.
2. Coating: Silicone resin has excellent heat resistance, cold resistance, weather resistance, water repellency and other properties, in addition, colorless and transparent coatings with good adhesion and wear resistance can be obtained. .
3. Adhesive: There are two types of polysiloxanes used as adhesives: silicone type and silicone resin type, which are different in structure and crosslinking density. Among them, resin type adhesives are also divided into pure silicone resin type and modified type resin.
4. Plastics: Mainly used in heat-resistant, insulating, structural, and arc-resistant silicone plastics, packaging plastics for semiconductor components, and foamed plastics.
5. Micropowder and trapezoidal polymer: Compared with inorganic fillers, silicone resin micropowder has low relative density, and also has the characteristics of heat resistance, weather resistance, lubricity and hydrophobicity. Trapezoidal silicone resin has higher heat resistance, electrical insulation and flame resistance than general-purpose mesh-shaped three-dimensional silicone resin.
