From injection molding, blow molding to modification and granulation, different modified silicone oils serve as processing additives, comprehensively addressing various pain points in plastic production and product usage, significantly improving the yield and performance of plastic products.
In the injection molding process, silicone oil is sprayed onto the inner walls of the mold to form an ultra-thin isolation film. After the molten plastic cools down, it can be completely removed, eliminating problems such as product sticking to the mold and edge tearing, reducing the frequency of mold grinding and cleaning, and increasing the production capacity of the assembly line by more than 20%. In the production of blow-molded films, a small amount of silicone oil is added, reducing the friction of the resin melt, making the film formation more uniform, and eliminating bubbles and fish-eye defects caused by high-speed extrusion.
In the modification of plastic granulation, silicone oil acts as an internal and external lubricant, dispersing and filling the powder, preventing the aggregation and clumping of calcium carbonate and glass fibers, improving the plastic fluidity and reducing processing energy consumption. The surface of the finished plastic parts will form a layer of hydrophobic silicone film, which is resistant to scratching and wear, not prone to dust accumulation, and the plastic storage box and household appliance shells are less likely to absorb fingerprint oil stains when placed for a long time.
For different substrates such as PP, PE, and PVC, manufacturers provide IOTA-specific plastic silicone oil, which does not damage the plastic adhesion and printing performance, and avoids the problem of paint peeling caused by ordinary additives. Outdoor plastic pipes add weather-resistant silicone oil to resist ultraviolet aging, and the pipes are less likely to crack and deteriorate. Currently, the market demand for specialized silicone oil for plastic processing is steadily increasing, and general modified silicone oil has achieved a complete domestic substitution. It is a key raw material for reducing costs and increasing efficiency in rubber and plastic manufacturing.
