2. Different performance characteristics

1. Dimethicone oil: soluble in benzene, toluene, xylene, ether, partially soluble in ethanol, butanol, acetone, insoluble in cyclohexanol, methanol, paraffin oil, vegetable oil. It has excellent water and moisture resistance, good light transmittance and chemical stability.

2. Silicone oil: Silicone oil is insoluble in water, methanol, glycol and -ethoxyethanol, but is miscible with benzene, dimethyl ether, methyl ethyl ketone, carbon tetrachloride or kerosene, slightly soluble in acetone, dioxane, Ethanol and Butanol. It has a small vapor pressure, high flash point and ignition point, and low freezing point.

3. Different applications

1. Dimethicone oil: widely used as insulation, heat-resistant, moisture-proof filler, high-efficiency defoamer, mold release agent, lubricant and surface treatment agent.

2. Silicone oil: Silicone oil has a very wide range of applications. It is not only used as a special material in aviation, cutting-edge technology, and military technology sectors, but also in various sectors of the national economy.
