What are the main uses of silicone rubber silicone oil?
Silicone oil is widely used. It is not only used as a special material in aviation, cutting-edge technology and military technology sectors, but also used in various sectors of the national economy. Its application scope has expanded to: construction, electronics and electrical, textile, automobile, machinery, leather and paper making, chemical and light industry, metal and paint, medicine and medical treatment, etc. The main applications of silicone oil and its derivatives are: film remover, damping oil, dielectric oil, hydraulic oil, heat transfer oil, diffusion pump oil, defoamer, lubricant, hydrophobic agent, paint additive, polishing agent, cosmetic and daily necessities additive, surfactant, particle and fiber treatment agent, silicone grease and flocculant. Silicone rubber is divided into room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber and high-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber. The former is mainly used in: sealants, adhesives, conformal coatings, gaskets, foam rubber, molding parts, packaging materials, electrical insulation, glass assembly, medical implants, surgical auxiliary materials, molding materials; The latter is mainly used in: pipes and hoses, strips, wire and cable insulation materials, surgical auxiliary materials, flame retardant rubber parts, penetration sealing materials, molding parts, embossing rollers, automotive ignition cables and spark plug covers, extrusion parts, medical implants, laminated products, conductive rubber, fiber coatings, foam rubber. The main applications of silicone resin include varnish, insulating paint, molding compound, protective coating, packaging materials, joint coating, pressure sensitive adhesive, laminated resin, release agent, adhesive, and masonry waterproof agent. Silane coupling agent is mainly used in paint, plastic rubber processing and adhesives. Organic silicon can not only be widely used as a basic material and structural material in some large industries, but also can be used as a subsidy or auxiliary material to share with other materials or improve the process performance of other materials. Advantages of the expanded data: (1) The viscosity temperature property is the best among liquid lubricants, and the viscosity changes little in a wide temperature range. Its freezing point is generally less than - 50 ℃, and some are as high as - 70 ℃. After long-term storage at low temperature, the appearance and viscosity of its oil products have no change. It is a base oil with high temperature, low temperature and wide temperature range. (2) Excellent thermal oxidation stability, such as thermal decomposition temperature>300 ℃, small evaporation loss (150 ℃, 30 days, evaporation loss is only 2%), oxidation test (200 ℃, 72h), small changes in viscosity and acid value. (3) Excellent electrical insulation, volume resistance, etc. do not change in the range of normal temperature~130 ℃ (but no water in the oil). (4) It is a non-toxic oil with low foaming property and strong anti foaming property, which can be used as defoamer. (5) Excellent shear stability, with the function of absorbing vibration and preventing vibration transmission, it can be used as damping fluid. Disadvantages (1) The lubricity of silicon oil is poor, especially for steel friction pairs. (2) The thermal expansion coefficient of silicone oil is large (overpressure may occur). (3) The gas solubility is high (it is difficult to design the gas seal device). (4) Certain hygroscopicity (water content higher than 100 × After 10-6, the electrical performance drops sharply). (5) Low surface tension (easy to leak from the machine).
