Properties of Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)
Poly (dimethylsiloxane) can also be prepared into lotion, commonly known as organosilicon lotion, which has good high and low temperature resistance, high hydrophobicity, good air permeability, excellent weather resistance, moisture release, insulation, physiological inertia, corrosion resistance, radiation resistance and other properties. It can be used for fabric finishing and is increasingly widely used in leather finishing and defoaming, coatings, adhesives, metal cleaning, and photosensitive materials. As an adhesive, it has also been used to bond metals, plastics, rubber, glass, ceramics, etc. It has been widely used in industries such as aerospace, electronics, mechanical processing, automotive manufacturing, construction, medical treatment, etc. Block poly (diphenyl dimethyl diphenyl) siloxane (PMP) was synthesized with octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4) and octaphenylcyclotetrasiloxane (P4) as monomers, N, N-di N-Methylformamide (DMF) as promoter, p-bis (dimethyl lithium oxysilyl) phenyl ether as initiator. The molecular weight of the copolymer is represented by intrinsic viscosity, and its thermal properties were studied using torsional analysis (TBA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The TBA curve indicates that both PMP-10 and PMP-40 have two glass transition temperature ranges. The DSC curve shows that polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) exhibits an exothermic peak above 350 ℃; Both PMP-10 and PMP-50 also have an exothermic peak, but after 400 ℃, there is an endothermic peak each, with peaks of 394.45 ℃ and 523.98 ℃, respectively. They should belong to the melting point peak of P-block, and the more P-block content, the higher the melting point
