Content introduction Chinese Abstract:
Objective:
This paper systematically discusses the various possible factors that cause the uncertainty of the water soil characteristic curve, deeply discusses the influence of the uncertainty of the water soil characteristic curve on the shear strength of the unsaturated soil, and summarizes the key factors that need to be considered when using the water soil characteristic curve to estimate the shear strength of the unsaturated soil.
Innovation:
When the shear strength of unsaturated soil is calculated by water soil characteristic curve, the uncertainty of water soil characteristic curve is considered.
Method:
1. Refer to the literature, compare the test data, and summarize the main factors that cause the uncertainty of water soil characteristic curve; 2. Use different water soil characteristic curve to estimate the shear strength of unsaturated soil according to the existing estimation formula; 3. Compare the estimation results with the test measurement values, and discuss the key points that should be paid attention to in the estimation process.
Conclusion:
1. Under different test methods, different test environment and different initial void ratio, the water soil characteristic curve of the same soil sample may be different; 2 When estimating the shear strength of unsaturated soil, the stress state (or void ratio) of the soil must be considered, and the existing water soil characteristic curve must be modified to ensure that the water soil characteristic curve used in the estimation process can truly reflect the pore size distribution of the shear soil sample.
Key word:
Shear strength of unsaturated soil; pore size distribution function; uncertainty; water soil characteristic curve; confidence degree
