The benzene content directly affects the performance: when the benzene content is 7.5%, the brittleness point is as low as -100 ℃, and the low temperature resistance is excellent; When the benzene content is increased to 50%, the temperature resistance reaches 300 ℃ and the radiation resistance is enhanced. Its refractive index is as high as 1.54, which can be used for optical components; The surface tension is as low as 18mN/m, and its lubricity surpasses that of methyl silicone oil. In addition, phenyl silicone oil has self extinguishing properties and does not spread when exposed to fire.
Application areas:
Power industry: In high-voltage transformers, phenyl silicone oil is used as an insulation medium to withstand arc and corona discharge, extending equipment life; Silicone oil used in nuclear power plants must pass radiation resistance tests, and phenyl silicone oil is the only qualified option.
LED packaging: Phenyl silicone oil fills the gap between the LED chip and the housing, ensuring stable light efficiency due to its high transparency and resistance to yellowing; As a heat dissipation medium, its thermal conductivity reaches 0.8W/(m · K), improving heat dissipation efficiency.
In the aerospace field, the sealing ring coating of rocket engines is made of phenyl silicone oil, which can resist thermal shock from -180 ℃ to 3000 ℃; Silicone oil lubricant for satellite solar panels, resistant to cosmic ray radiation.
